Used Dior Homme Jeans!

My brother just gave me his used Dior Homme jeans. It is always fabulous to take something from your brother's closet, especially when it is an expensive item. I suppose this is kind of what having a sibling is all about. Besides, it's kind of soft, comfortable and already 'broken in'. I kind of also find it interesting that it was imported from Japan.

Worst Traffic is not Los Angeles...It's Honolulu!

According Inrix's to latest study, the worst Traffic is NOT Los Angeles...It's Honolulu!  I guess this bad car culture has been adopted everywhere.  Similar scenario can be said for Europe and Japan.

A Very Good Movie - Antichrist (2009)

Per my co-worker's recommendation, I saw Lars von Trier's 2009 movie Antichrist. My wife did not like it, but I liked it quite a bit. The cinematography was beautifully executed, its plot was very interesting and actors were superb (Willam Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg). In short, it was bitingly unsettling. Highly recommended.

Cool Radio Show - This American Life

I was listening to This American Life on online.   Interesting talk show with broad range of topics. This was from archives section covering how municipalities budget cuts across America has not so surprising consequences.

Cyrus Barker books by Will Thomas

Having just finished reading Will Thomas' books Some Danger Involved and To Kingdom Come, I am craving for more Cyrus Barker series. It is time for me to order more.

Tea gardens

So I wanted to talk about tea gardens a little bit today.  Most cities have them, have you ever been to it?  I really like the look and feel of them.  I have to say though the tea they serve and those little rice crackers aweful.  They kind of give a bad name to the whole japanese experience.  Have been to japan and please not even close, dont know why they always export all the crap low end stuff. Just saying.  Anyways if you havent check out your local one you should, alot of times they are free and a nice peacful little place to get away.

Tea Bags, oh how I hate thee

Hey Everyone,

Who here hates teabags raise your hand.  I hope everyone raised there hands because I despise the things.  Someone told me today that teabags had there place, sure they do, in the garbage where they belong.  Seriously  I know they have those pyramid tea bags that are filled with loose leaf tea, sure those are a little better but they are more expensive then loose leaf tea so why the heck would someone buy or use them?  I am just saying, I cannot believe that they still sell these awful tea bags, shame on me for ever in my life buying them.  Please do yourself a favor never buy teabags.

Thank you for listening to this rant signing off.

What is tea

Hey everyone, since we will be doing tea reviews here thought it might be good to just do a quick def on what tea is.

Tea is an aromatic beverage prepared by pouring boiling hot water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The term also refers to the plant itself. After water, tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world. It has a cooling, slightly bitter, astringent flavour which many people enjoy.  From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea

So there that is the def.  Now from what I understand tea is the kind of plant that veries in taste alot depending on where it is grown.  Kind of like grapes for wine.  That is the reason we have so many different kinds of tea is because they are grown in different places.  Also similar to wine you can process the raw plant in alot of different ways.  Which has lead to all the great flavors we have today.  Do you think anyone will ever create some new kinds of teas or way to process them that we havent seen yet, I cant see why it couldnt happen especially with the improvemtn of technology.

Do I drink Coffee

Seems to be a comon question I get now adays.  I am the tea review guy and it seems so many people drink coffee over tea, especially in America.  Well I do, on occasion, but to be honest not very much.  The only coffee I can stomach is the really good stuff and that is few and far between now it seems.

I used to be a big coffee drinker, in fact never used to like tea (my only exposure was tea bags yuck).  But ended up trying some good teas and just cant seem to bring myself back to the stomach hurting overly bitter/burned coffee of my youth.

So I guess my answer would be yes, but not much.  And tea is so good anyways why would you need to.

Hot tea, hot days and chilled tea

Well today is kind of a warm day and Im drinking my usual morning hot tea because I need my caffine fix and its starting to feel a little to warm for hot tea now.  So the seasons are chaning, time for me to change up my routine.  Now I dont know about all of you but I need my tea fix one way or the other and just cutting it out for the whole summer doesnt work for me.

So what ways do you guys get your tea fix during hot weather?

I know the usual response is chilled tea, which I do thank you.  But its just not the same fulfilling as hot tea at least to me, and of course the flavor just isnt the same because when you chill it the flavors are dulled.  This is why I usually use cheaper teas for chilled tea but that doesnt help the flavor either.  Some other things I do is like put tea in stuff I already have like a smoothie or find some tea ice cream or candy those help but dont really have the caffiene I need to get me going in the morning.

Anyways am at a bit of a loss for now any suggestions woudl be appreciated.  And let me just say I am not a big fan of the warm weather and this is one of those reasons why.  Oh if only the AC was free to run all day, a guy can dream.

First review a great standard green tea

Alright first review, no pressure right?

Well I am a big green tea fan, my usual favorite tea (sorry black tea lovers, though I do partake quite often).

So this is a tea I had gotten for a gift a little while ago have been taking my time drinking it because it is so nice.  Almost feel bad having this regularly.

So this is Nourishing Sencha and I know what your thinking th epic looks delicious already.  Well it is.  Oh and this is from Teanobi Tea Company which is the first tea from them I have had before.  I can not really comment on anything else about the company since I got it as a gift but the tea is really nice will have to try more from them in the future.  Sure beats the teabags I was so used to when I was younger and way beats anything out of a local coffee chain (yes you know what Im talking about).  Oh and in case you couldnt figure this out already it is a sencha.

So as a score on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 10.  But in all fairness will probably give alot of teas I love here 10s except the gross ones.  But should defently try it and the price is not so bad.

Will hit you with a new review soon guys, take care.
